ImageThat is the best way to describe the networks progress of late. I did expect things to get a little quieter over winter with the shorter days but not quite this slow. Rest assured things are starting to pick up again.

The Forums have been nice and active lately and we have had more people contact us that are interested in connecting. This Summer looks to be a good one for Bathurst Wireless.

Some tid-bits of interest since the last news post

AP03: Ap03 is now 100% operational it is still going under some fine tuning and what not but it is up and running and has good coverage of most of bathurst

AP04: Well the upgrades to Ap04 didn't go as well a we would have hoped. the install went great. How ever the routing box for it's backbone link went belly up. we have since decided to have use a mminitar ap for it's backbone link and have it managed from ap02. this should make it more reliable.

Longhaul: There has been some very long link testing happening. Barnacle and my self went out to limekilns to some testing for a possible ap to service the small community out there. after lugging all the gear up the hill we were rewarded with one of the best views I have ever seen. we were also able to pickup AP04. that was 23km away.
Bluedog has also been trying to get a link from his place at the end of the freemantle road see the forums for more information.

over the next few months we hope to get the network properly sorted out and should see things improve greatly.
we will have more time to work in the afternoons with the longer days and warmer nights. So expect things to really start happening again
