 We are currently working on a temporary link for the CSU Remote Telescope Project( http://www.csu.edu.au/telescope/main.html
) so that they can webcast the Transit of Venus on 8th June (roughly
3pm). The last transit of Venus was 122 years ago so I doubt there was
too many of us who saw it last time around :P.This project is an ideal way we can put the "Community" into our Community Wireless Network. I will be doing another link test on Thursday 3/6 from the LIC out to the Bathurst Observatory at about 4:30pm. If you can assist in anyway with this test (help setup test rig at my place on Wednesday night so it is ready to go Thursday, or help setup Thursday afternoon) give me a bell ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ). We will be putting the link in on the weekend so it is fully in place for Tuesday. I have Tuesday off work - got to love flexidays, so that if something goes wrong during the day I am about to fix it. A big thanks now to all of you guys that have been involved so far. |
