Bathurst Wireless should have its very first Access Point
(AP) setup by hopefully sometime in the next week or so. An 11mbit AP
and pigtail has been ordered and paid for and should arrive possibly by
the end of the week. The AP will hopefully be a semi-temporary solution
which we will look at replacing sometime in the not-so-distant future
with a 22mbps solution.
We still have some work to do before the
AP arrives, though. We are still in the process of organising an
antenna for it. Due to the lack of decent ALU pricing quotes we have
received (4x2" ALU tubing), we are being forced to make a downpipe Wave
Guide rather than a Trevor Marshall (ALU) styled one. This should
hopefully also be a temporary solution until we can find some decent
pricing but should still get us up and running and clients connected.
That's all for today, I'm off to my parents to steal their router and attempt to make this downpipe Wave Guide. Wish me luck!
