iMac fundraiser

we have had a selection of iMac's donated to bxwifi to sell for funding upgrades to the network

so if anyone knows of anyone who would like/needs a cheap computer for basic stuff like web, word processing, music.

they are going for $50 each. that includes mac pro KB/mouse

they take standard sdram so can be upgraded easily and will run mac osX or ubuntu fine. you can also add an external dvd burner via fire wire for burning dvd's

in all these are great working machines

so if you would like one please contact me in this thread or via email.

Hey,

I'd like to buy one... there's always a need for paperweights around here... lol

It'd be good to have a platform I can use for CLFS, I was gonna try for a Sun SPARC but this will be loads cheaper... and most likely lighter too.

Any chance of delivering to the Windradyne area, and how much extra would you charge?

Thanks in advance

Aaron

Amason99 delvery in the local area I will do for free

yes they would be a very good test platform for CLFS. They will run linux very well and there are now a few great distro's supporting the powerpc platform.
