VPNing over bxwifi - possible? |

Hi all,
I have a friend in town who is stuck with dialup because he lives in a flat and can't afford 3G. We toyed with setting up our own link to share my ADSL2 connection but the cost involved in just overcoming the free space loss between our places would be rather horrendous.
Another solution is to use the existing bxwifi network to establish a VPN between my place and his place. There's an AP down the street from him and I have two APs within a kilometre of my place. I could probably reach one of these with a cantenna (or something a bit more legal).
Would this be allowed, and would it be possible? Also, what would you guys suggest in terms of hardware to make this happen?
