well it has been almost 6 months since AP01 has been operational. Now finaly it looks like I have the time and equipment to get it back up. It will be connecting to AP02 hopefully with a 5.8ghz link and to AP03 with a 2.4ghz link and will have a 2.4ghz waveguide pointed towards town. it is now located in lower Rocket st in the block between Havannah st and Lambert st. once up I hope it will allow AP01 and AP03 to usable access points. AP03 should be a great ap when it was up for "testing" a few months ago I was able to pick it up from a very large area of town.

so anyone who has been wanting to connect to the network now is the time to speak up so that we can help. I personaly will be making more time for testing and helping people connect.

Zac

Well I'm up for a new connection at my new place in Wyndradyne opposite the RTA near the hill access to AP04 I believe.

Also if anyone needs any help setting up I've got some basic test gear with usb wificard with external connections that will fit most antennas.

The map needs updating.

It is a good day for Bathurst wireless

Thats right, the one, the only, AP01 is back up and operational.

It is running a homemade omni which is proving to be quite the antenna with the abillity to reach out as far as Kelso.

It is also quick one client is able to get over 2mbs that 2 megabytes every second.

It is linked into ap02 with a 5.8ghz backbone which still needs a little tweeking. Hopfully over the next few months we will see speed of up to 2mbs from end to end on the network.

But for now hiphop hooray

Wahoo!!!!

Great new indeed

Behind every little problem there's a larger problem, waiting for the little problem to get out of the way. When I do figure out the problem, my mind is like lightning, one brilliant flash then it is gone!
