CHEAP Client devices

For those people looking for cheap client devices to connect to the network or just something to use as a basic ap or repeater

have a look at these from minitar
http://www.mats-systems.com.au/w_network.html#MINITAR

they are only $30

I have purchased 2 for testing so that we can see what they are like so far they have performed wonderfuly for the money.
Connecting them as an ap/client pair connected 2 pc's they managed 2.5Mbs real throughput. That is 2.5 megabytes every second. This was through a wall with the stock antennas. moving them further apart 25m and 4 walls this dropped to a solid 1Mbs. adding a biquad to each brought this back up to the 2.5Mbs I managed earlier.

They have a detacable antenna and run of 9v with inbuilt regulation which according to the specs of the regulator chip can handle up to 15v so a 12v POE adapter should work fine.

more information can be found at the links below from Southern wiwi, Melbourne wireless and Air-Stream wireless
